My Skincare Routine with Radiant Glow Face Oil by Sunkissalba Review
Heard of Radiant Glow Face Oil by SunkissAlba? Using an oil on the face?! But isn’t oil greasy or clogs pores, Liz?Don’t you get pimples with oily skin? To be honest, my skin is sensitive and so prone to acne. It’s so sensitive that three full cycles of laser treatments in the last decade did not help my skin as much as having babies, taking Bounce Curl Hair Vitamins, and this new routine for my skin care has. I hope you find my skincare routine with Radiant glow face oil review useful but be aware, these are ideas and my routine. You want you to try to see what works for you.
Here’s my no make-up face! (I mean, except for my eye-liner)
Before you scroll down and jump to see what products I use, you know that using product can do only so much if you are not doing the methods properly. You want to wash and dry your face the right way FIRST before you slather the products in. It’s common knowledge that using the product on a cleansed face is beneficial. Here is a video that precisely explains the right way to wash and pat dry your face to avoid acne.
Tip: Take this video into the bathroom with you when you use this regimen. Pause or rewind when needed until you know the steps by heart. Source: Acne.org
You also want to frequently change your pillow covers because product buildup or dandruff on your pillowcase or bedsheets can cause skin irritation. I always spread my satin scarf over my couch if I want to lie down on it. Its simple preventive measures like these can help you maintain your skin. You also want to make sure you have clean skin before you go to bed or take a nap! I use coconut oil to remove my eye makeup, that’s the only makeup on my face, apart from a liquid lipstick sometimes.
Super Tip! Sleep on a satin pillowcase to avoid dryness caused by cotton pillow covers. Dry skin causes early wrinkles! Not that I mind wrinkles, but I do it to help retain moisture on my skin and hair!
My skin care routine
This method has worked for me and I’m sure with the right products though, it will work even better for you. I don’t like using too many products or make-up, so my skincare routine is basic. Oils and butters are a staple for my face. I avoid these harsh ingredients on my hair and body:
I recently discovered how crazy awesome the Bentonite Clay Mask was for my hair, scalp, and skin! I do the Bentonite DIY face mask once a week and it’s helped clear my pores, remove blackheads, remove toxins and give me a natural glow! Let me know if you try it.
In Pune, the weather is mostly pleasant. In the hotter days, I don’t wash my face in the mornings. Yes, I know we’ve grown up washing our face and taking baths every morning but I follow none of that. Washing your face too much is not good at all. Did you know? Even dry skin is prone to acne just as much as oily skin. The weather is gradually turning colder each day and that means you have to put on the armour of moisturizer, at least twice a day!
Sulfate-free Soap for Face Wash & Day Cream
I wash my face with a local paraben-free and sulfate-free soap. I alternate between two soaps. One rose, and the other is charcoal. I am obsessed with charcoal these days and even clean my teeth with it! Both soaps are from the same brand and cost less than INR 250 each. Each soap lasts 3-5 months! It has a refreshing scent, not too overpowering and is organic; I was surprised to find it so affordable too!
My day cream is Ayurvedic and even has SPF+25 to protect me from harmful rays – yes even when I’m cooped up in the house. I especially need this cream on my face when I take the kids to the park. It absorbs quickly and leaves my skin moisturised without looking too greasy. The days I forget to put the cream and oil on my face, my skin stretches and itches and feels dry. So after I apply a thin layer of the cream, I bring out my Radiant Glow Face Oil!
I have parched skin and at night times I love to moisturize my face and neck before I go to sleep. After washing my face clean with my sulfate-free soap, I massage my face and neck with a little mango butter* and almond oil. This mango butter I use is unrefined so I find it a bit coarse when I massage.
*(Sonia Kale!! Thank you so much for this super tip, lady!!)
I do my scalp massagesafter not before because your eyes can burn if you accidentally rub them with essential oils! I let my face absorb the mango butter and the almond oil for a few minutes, and then I bring out my Radiant Glow Face Oil!
For me, I put a drop each on my forehead, cheeks, nose, and neck and massage my face and neck gently. It’s very important to shake the bottle firmly before using, though. You shake it like no one’s watching because you want all the golden bits from the bottom to mix with the rest of the oil.
You want those golden bits on your face and body! Yes, I found using this oil on my body is great too! It leaves my skin so supple and soft like a baby’s bum. It has a slight smell of Til Oil but otherwise no fragrance at all. Here’s a quick video from the Diva herself, Alba, who collaborated with Derma-e to create this beautiful oil!

Luscious organic Jojoba Oil and replenishing organic Argan Oil moisturize to help combat dehydration and the appearance of wrinkles while promoting radiance. Rejuvenating organic Seabuckthorn Oil helps to smooth and add shine while mineral-rich Mica adds a natural-looking brilliance to your skin, as you can see!

How long will it last? 5-6 months or more if you use just on your face. I use it for my skin and sometimes like to SOTC my hair with it also, it may not last for me that much (oh dear!)
But is it worth it? YES!
What natural products do you use, tell me also! I would love to explore natural brands, anything that fits my sustainable, natural living philosophy.
